FAQ's about FAN

"Do I get to keep my art?"
Yes! You are the artist and it belongs to you. If your parents decide to buy the frame, you can take it home that night, and if you choose not to buy the frame, your art will be returned to you to hang on your fridge at home, keep in your scrapbook, or add to a frame you already own! It is a great keepsake from your year.

"How much are the frames?"
They are $25.00 and that includes a black and white double mat. Dolvin keeps a portion of the profit to help fund our art department. Pay by cash or check the night of the event, or send your payment in early to Mrs. Knight if you are unable to attend, but want a frame. Don't forget to let me know your home room teacher's name.

"Will there be other art activities, like the Free Art Friday table we had last year?"
Oh yes indeed! We will have another Free Art information table to get you started on your art for our Free Art Friday drop on May 9, as well as a group collage mural, a graffiti stitchery panel, and artist fan letters! It is going to be a really fun night!

"What time will chorus students need to meet at school for the concert?"
Chorus students will meet at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria to warm up and work on trouble spots.

"When and where will the concert be held?"
The concert will be in the cafeteria and will begin at 6:00 PM.  It will last approximately 35 or 40 minutes.

"Can I see the concert if I am not in chorus?"
Any one is invited to watch the performance.  Additionally, we will be streaming the performance live on UStreamTV.  The live stream will be playing in the commons during the art show.  Go to www.ustreamtv.com/channel/dolvin-elementary-musicals to RSVP for a reminder to attend the show.

"My family members want to see the show, but they cannot come. What should I do?"
We will be streaming the performance live on UStreamTV.  The live stream will be playing in the commons during the art show.  Go to www.ustreamtv.com/channel/dolvin-elementary-musicals to RSVP for a reminder to attend the show.

"If I am in the concert, do I need to wear a costume?"
All chorus members are encouraged to wear a costume.  If you do not have a main character role, you will be permitted to choose a costume from the full list.  Costume suggestions will be posted on the music department webpage and the Chorus information page.

"Will there the be a morning performance for the student body? And are parents allowed to attend?"
We will hold a performance for the student body as a working dress rehearsal Thursday morning, May 1st.  All students are expected to wear their costumes both the morning and afternoon performance.  Unfortunately, due to space limitations, this performance is open for students and faculty only.
